To review: eBay sales and website orders to check

What each card in Sell → To review means, from items still live on eBay to unmatched eBay sales and website refunds, and what to do with it.

Sell → To review holds the sales Lotmaster can't settle on its own: something sold twice, an eBay sale it couldn't match, a cancelled order, or a website payment that needs a refund. Each card has a label at the top saying what kind it is, and buttons to settle it. Once you've dealt with a card, it leaves the list.

To open it on a phone, tap the Sell tab, then the To review tile. On a computer, click Sell in the sidebar; To review is the middle column, with See all when there are more.

When there's nothing to check, it says "Nothing to check. Every sale matched up."

Do this first

The item sold somewhere else (in person, on your website, on another site) but its eBay listing is still live. If someone buys it on eBay now, you'll have sold it twice.

  • Tap End eBay listing. Lotmaster ends it on eBay and the card goes.
  • Or tap Open item to look at it first.

If ending it says it also sold on eBay, someone bought it there before the listing came down. Check eBay: one of the two buyers needs a refund.

These cards always come first.

eBay sale we couldn't match

It sold on eBay, but the listing isn't linked to any item in Lotmaster. This usually means a listing you never imported.

  1. Tap Pick the item.
  2. Type the item's reference number.
  3. Tap Mark it sold.

The item is linked to the listing and marked sold, with the eBay price and date.

If the sale has nothing to do with your Lotmaster stock, tap Dismiss. Nothing is marked sold.

eBay order cancelled

The buyer's order was cancelled on eBay after Lotmaster recorded the sale.

  • Put back in stock undoes the sale. The copies go back in stock, and Lotmaster's next check of your eBay listings sees whether the listing is back up.
  • Keep as sold leaves the sale as it is, for example if you've agreed something else with the buyer.

eBay sale of something already sold

It sold on eBay, but the item was already sold, or didn't have that many copies left. Lotmaster hasn't recorded this second sale. Check with the buyer on eBay, then tap Dealt with, done.

Website orders

Website orders paid by card show as Card sale.

Card sale to refund: the buyer paid on your website, but the item had already sold. Lotmaster also emails you about it.

  1. Tap Open in Stripe to go to the payment.
  2. Refund the buyer in Stripe.
  3. Back in Lotmaster, tap Refunded, done.

Card sale disputed: the buyer opened a dispute in Stripe. Tap Open in Stripe and answer it there before the deadline, then tap Done.

Card sale refunded: you refunded a website order in full, so the item is back in stock. This card only appears when the item has an eBay listing, so you can choose what happens there:

  • If the listing is still up, tap Put it back on eBay (or Put the number of copies back on eBay) to add the copies to it.
  • If the listing has ended, tap Relist on eBay to open the relist page.
  • Or tap Leave it to leave eBay as it is.

See Refunds and disputes for more on website refunds.

Why sales end up here

Most eBay sales and website orders go straight to To ship without a stop here. To keep fewer cards coming:

  • import or link your eBay listings, so every eBay sale has an item to match,
  • leave End the eBay listing too ticked when you record a sale somewhere else.
