Moving from Vendoo or List Perfectly

Export your items from Vendoo or List Perfectly as a CSV file, then import that file in Lotmaster and choose Vendoo export or List Perfectly export under The file is. Lotmaster matches the columns those apps use, and you check the rest before anything is saved.

The import works the same as any spreadsheet. Import from a spreadsheet (CSV) has every step.

1. Export from the other app

Download your inventory from Vendoo or List Perfectly as a CSV file. Both apps let you choose which columns go in the export. Include at least:

• the title
• the SKU, so importing the same file twice doesn't add items twice
• the price, cost and quantity
• the description and condition
• the photo links (image URLs)
• the bin or storage location, if you keep one
• brand, size and color, if you use them

Your items' sold history, fees and profit don't come across. Those columns are left out.

2. Import it in Lotmaster

1. Go to More → Import on a phone, or Inventory → Import on a computer.
2. Tap Choose a CSV file and pick the export.
3. Under The file is, pick Vendoo export or List Perfectly export. Lotmaster may pick it for you.
4. Pick the Item type, unless a column says, like Trading cards.
5. Check each column under Goes to. Change any that landed in the wrong place, and set any you don't want to Don’t import.
6. Tap Check the rows, fix or leave out any rows marked To fix, then tap Import.

How the saved matching works

Picking Vendoo export or List Perfectly export matches the column names those apps use:

• Title, Description, Price, Quantity, SKU and Cost go to the same places in Lotmaster. If a file has two price or cost columns, the first one is used and the other is set to Don’t import.
• Condition goes to Condition.
• Notes go to Private notes, which are never shown to buyers.
• Images, Image URLs or Photos become the item's photos.
• Brand, Size, Color and Material become item specifics, keeping their names.
• Location (and Bin location from List Perfectly) goes to Storage location.
• Tags go to the item's Tag.
• Vendoo's columns about sales, like sold price, sold date, marketplaces, fees and profit, are set to Don’t import.

A column the saved matching doesn't know is matched by its name if it can be, like any spreadsheet. Anything left over is set to Don’t import. Always look down the list before you go on.

Things to know

• Sold items aren't imported. Rows whose status is sold, or whose quantity is 0, are skipped.
• Statuses become Lotmaster's. Active or listed items come in as listed. Drafts, unlisted and inactive items come in as in stock.
• Categories from the other app are matched to your item type's categories by name. One that doesn't match goes in Other, and its name is kept as an item specific.
• Photos are copied from the links in the file, up to 12 per item. Links that aren't public web addresses can't be downloaded.
• Your eBay listings are better brought in through eBay, so they stay linked and sales on eBay mark them sold. See Import your eBay listings.
