When you add an item, take its photos and tap Fill in from photos. Lotmaster reads the photos and fills in the item type, title, details, description and condition for you, and suggests a bin. You check it all, then save.
Available on Pro and Business, and during your free trial.
Fill in an item
- Open New item: the blue + on a phone, or Add item on a computer.
- Add photos of the item. Clear photos of labels, markings and card numbers help most.
- Tap Fill in from photos. It shows Reading the photos… while it works.
- Check everything it filled in, and change anything that's wrong.
- Pick a bin if you want a different one, and type your price.
- Tap Save item.
What it fills in
- The item type and category, from the ones turned on in your shop
- The title
- Your item type's fields, like Conflict, Set or Card #, where it can see them
- Year or dates
- Other details it noticed that your type has no field for
- Summary, Description and Condition
It never fills in the price. It reads the first 4 photos if you've added more.
It picks the item type and category itself. Everything else you've already typed stays as you typed it, and only empty boxes are filled. A bin you've already picked stays too.
The note after a fill
A blue note under the photos tells you:
- Filled in from and the number of photos. Check everything before saving.
- Suggested and a bin, with why: it already holds items of that type and has room, or it's empty. If there's no open bin, it says No open bin found. Pick a place below.
- Rough eBay value, a price range to start from. Check eBay's sold listings before you price it.
- Not sure about, anything it couldn't read or wasn't sure of.
If you add more photos, tap Fill in again from photos. That uses another fill.
How many fills you get
The free trial gets Pro's 300.
Each tap of Fill in from photos counts as one fill, whether or not you save the item. The count starts again on the 1st of each month, in your shop's time zone.
To see how many you've used, go to Settings → Usage and your data. The Fill from photos card shows Used and the number this month.
When they're used up, tapping Fill in from photos tells you so, and you can fill items in by hand until next month. The message also says how to get more.
Make it better for your stock
Each item type has its own guidance for photo fill: what to look for, and what each category means. The owner can change it in Settings → Item types, under Photo fill. See Item types, categories and fields.
Turn it off or on
Only the shop's owner can turn photo fill off or on. Helpers can see whether it's on.
- Go to Settings → Usage and your data.
- In the Fill from photos card, tap Turn off photo fill.
- Confirm.
With it off, nobody in the shop sees Fill in from photos. Tap Turn on photo fill to bring it back.
Who reads the photos
The photos are sent to an AI service to be read. Reads photos with, in the Fill from photos card, says which. Nothing is saved to the item until you tap Save item.
If it doesn't work
- No Fill in from photos button: your plan doesn't include it (the form says so under the photos), or the owner has turned it off.
- "Add a photo first": add at least one photo, then tap it.
- "Couldn’t read the photos. Try again, or fill it in by hand.": try again, or with clearer photos.
- "Turn on an item type in Settings → Item types first.": photo fill needs at least one item type turned on.
