Invite helpers and what they can do
Invite staff or family to help run your shop, see what helpers can and can't do, how many people each plan allows, and remove someone.

Helpers are people who work in your shop with their own sign-in: staff, a partner, family. Invite them by email from Settings → Shop and helpers. They can add, list, move and sell items, but they can't touch billing, helpers or the eBay connection, and a few owner settings are read only for them.
Only the shop's owner can invite or remove helpers. Helpers see who's in the shop, read only.
Invite a helper
- Go to Settings → Shop and helpers. On a phone, Settings is on the More tab. On a computer, it's in the sidebar.
- Under Who can use the shop, tap Invite a helper.
- Type their Name and Email.
- Tap Send invitation.
What happens next depends on whether they already use Lotmaster:
- New to Lotmaster: they get an email inviting them to choose a password. Once they have, they're in your shop.
- Already have an account (their own shop, or helping in another): they're added straight away and we email to tell them. They sign in as usual and pick your shop from the shop switcher.
How many people each plan allows
The count includes you, the owner.
So Starter is just the owner, Pro adds two helpers and Business adds nine. The free trial has Pro's limit. The card shows how many seats you're using, like "2 of 3 seats". When it's full, you'll see a note about upgrading instead of the invite button.
If you move to a plan with fewer seats, helpers already in the shop stay. You just can't add more until there's room.
What helpers can do
Helpers can do the day-to-day work: add and edit items, move things between bins, set up locations, list on eBay, record sales, pull, pack and ship orders, import spreadsheets and download the inventory spreadsheet.
What only the owner can do
- See and change Plan and billing. Helpers don't see it in Settings.
- Invite and remove helpers.
- Connect, reconnect or disconnect eBay, and connect or disconnect Stripe.
- Change the shop's details, item types, eBay fee rules, shipping and the website's look and pages. Helpers can see these settings, read only.
- Add or remove a custom domain for the website.
- See People (your buyers, consignors and subscribers) and choose a buyer when recording a sale.
- Send a newsletter.
- Delete an item. Only the owner gets Delete item, and Lotmaster refuses a delete from a helper.
- Turn photo fill on or off.
- Download everything with photos, see support visits, and delete the shop, under Settings → Usage and your data.
- Use the setup wizard.
Remove a helper
- Go to Settings → Shop and helpers.
- Under Who can use the shop, tap Remove beside their name.
- Confirm.
They can't get into your shop after that. If your shop was the only one they belonged to, their Lotmaster account is deleted too. If they help in another shop or have their own, that stays.
You can't remove yourself.
