Update a live eBay listing
Send a new title, price, description, photos or quantity to a live eBay listing from Lotmaster, or lower prices on many listings at once.

Edit the item in Lotmaster, then send the changes to eBay from the Update eBay listing page. The listing keeps its item number, watchers and sales history. To lower prices on lots of listings in one go, use Change eBay prices under Sell.
After you edit an item
When you save an item that's live on eBay, and you changed something buyers see there (the title, asking price, text or item details), the item page asks Update the eBay listing too? Your changes are saved in Lotmaster, but eBay still shows the old ones.
- Tap Review and send to eBay to open the Update eBay listing page.
- Tap Not now to leave eBay as it is.
Quantity is different: when you change the number of copies on the Edit page, Lotmaster changes the eBay listing's count by the same number straight away.
Update the listing
- Open the item. Tap its eBay tile (it says Live), or tap ⋯ and then Update the eBay listing.
- Lotmaster reads the listing from eBay and lists what you can send: Title, Price (Starting bid on an auction), Description, Item specifics, Photos and, for Buy It Now, Quantity. Anything that's different from eBay starts ticked.
- Tick or untick what to send. Under What eBay will show you can still change the title and price.
- Tap Send and the number of changes to eBay, and confirm. Buyers see the changes straight away.
You're taken back to the item, which says eBay listing updated.
What each change does
- Title and Price replace what's on eBay.
- Description is built from the item's summary, description, condition and provenance, and replaces the one on eBay.
- Item specifics take the item's values where the names match eBay's. Specifics the item doesn't have stay as they are on eBay.
- Photos sends all the item's photos again and replaces the ones on eBay. It starts ticked only when the number of photos differs.
- Quantity sets eBay to the copies you have. If eBay shows sales Lotmaster hasn't recorded yet, it waits, so a copy that's already gone isn't put back up for sale.
This page doesn't change the category, condition, shipping or listing format.
Auctions with bids
Once an auction has bids, eBay only lets you add to the description and fill in missing details. The page warns you, and eBay refuses other changes and says why.
Lower prices on many listings at once
- Open Change eBay prices:
- from Sell: on a computer it's beside the Sell heading; on a phone it's at the bottom of Sell → eBay imports. This covers every live eBay listing.
- from Inventory: pick items in select mode and tap Change eBay prices, or filter to On eBay and tap Change these eBay prices….
- Under Lower the price by, type a number and pick percent or dollars.
- Tick Round down to end in .99 if you like. Tick Set the asking price in the app to the new price too to change the item's price in Lotmaster as well.
- Check the list. Each listing shows its old and new price. Untick any you want to leave alone.
- Tap Apply to and the number of eBay listings, and confirm.
Each listing then shows its new price or eBay's message. Up to 200 listings at a time.
A price never goes under $0.99; a drop that would take it lower leaves that listing unchanged. An auction with bids keeps its starting bid.
If eBay doesn't take a change
The item page shows eBay didn’t take the last change, with what eBay said.
- For a price change, tap Try again.
- For other changes, tap Review and try again to go back to the Update eBay listing page.
- Tap Dismiss if you've sorted it out on eBay, or don't need it any more.
Every refused change is also listed on eBay changes that failed. On a computer, it's the red button beside the Sell heading. On a phone, it's the tile at the bottom of Sell → eBay imports. A later change to the same things that goes through clears it.
Each change, sent or refused, is noted in the item's history.
If you see "eBay is busy for the rest of the day. Try again tomorrow, or do this on eBay.", Lotmaster has reached its limit of eBay requests for the day. Try again tomorrow, or make the change on eBay.
