Several copies of one item
Track how many copies of a card or game you have, sell them one or a few at a time, and keep eBay's count in step.

If you have more than one of the same card or game, add it once with a quantity instead of adding each copy. Each sale takes copies off, and the item only becomes sold when the last copy goes.
Which items have a quantity
The item form shows a Quantity box for item types that count copies. The Trading cards, Sports cards and Video games and consoles types do this from the start. Militaria and Other collectibles don't, since those items are usually one of a kind. An item that already has more than one copy always shows its quantity, whatever its type.
To change this for a type, go to Settings → Item types, open the type and tick or untick Several copies of one item. Only the shop's owner can change item types.
Add an item with copies
- Add the item as usual.
- In Quantity, type how many you have, or use − and +.
- Enter the price for one copy in Price, each. Paid, each is also for one copy.
- Save it.
The item page shows the price with "each" and how many are left, for example "3 left". A sale's profit uses the cost of one copy times the copies sold.
All copies share one location
Every copy of an item is in the same place: one bin, box or slot. When you move the item, you move all of its copies. If some copies really are somewhere else, add them as a separate item in that location.
Selling some of the copies
When you record a sale on an item with more than one copy, the form asks How many sold. It shows how many will be left after the sale. With more than one, choose whether the amount you typed is Price each or Price in total.
When the last copy sells, the item is marked sold. If you undo a sale, its copies go back in stock.
eBay and your website
- Listing on eBay: Buy It Now lists every copy you have, at the price for one. An auction always sells one copy; the rest stay in Lotmaster.
- eBay sales: a buyer who takes two copies on eBay comes in as one sale of 2. eBay lowers its own count and ends the listing when the last copy sells.
- Sales you record in Lotmaster: if the item is live on eBay, the sale form has Take 2 off the eBay listing ticked (with your number), or End the eBay listing too when it's the last copy. Leave it ticked so the same copies can't sell twice.
- Changing the quantity yourself: if you edit the quantity, the eBay listing goes up or down by the same number. Undoing a sale you recorded in Lotmaster puts its copies back on eBay too. Undoing an eBay sale leaves eBay alone, because eBay puts cancelled copies back itself.
- Your website shows how many are left, and a buyer can buy up to 10 copies in one order.
Putting a sold-out item back in stock
When every copy has sold, editing the item shows a Restock box instead of Quantity. Type how many came back in, save, and the item is back in stock.
