Download all your data

Download your inventory as a spreadsheet, or everything in your shop with photos as one zip file, from Settings.

You can take a copy of your shop's data at any time from Settings → Usage and your data, under Your data. There are two downloads: your inventory as a spreadsheet, and everything, photos included, as one zip file.

Only the shop's owner can download everything. Helpers can download the inventory spreadsheet.

Download your inventory as a spreadsheet

  1. Go to Settings → Usage and your data. On a phone, Settings is on the More tab. On a computer, it's in the sidebar.
  2. Under Your data, find Inventory as a spreadsheet and tap Download.

You get a CSV file with every item, one row each, private fields such as cost and notes included. It opens in Excel, Numbers or Google Sheets.

Download everything, with photos

  1. Go to Settings → Usage and your data.
  2. Under Your data, find Everything, with photos. The line under it tells you which kind of download your shop gets.
  3. Tap Download or Prepare.

Smaller shops (up to 3,000 photos and 300 MB) see Download. The zip file starts downloading straight away.

Bigger shops see Prepare. We put the zip together in the background, which can take a while, and email you a link when it's ready. The email goes to the address you sign in with. While it's being made, the page shows how far it's got, for example "Working… 1,200 photos so far". When it's done, download it from the same page. You need to be signed in as the shop's owner.

A prepared download is kept for 7 days, then it's removed. If it has expired, tap Prepare to make a new one. If one says Didn’t finish. Try again., tap Prepare again.

What's in the zip

FileWhat's in it
README.txtWhat each file is
items.csvEvery item, with private fields (cost, notes, consignor)
locations.csvEvery storage location, where it is and how many items are in it
sales.csvEvery sale: price, fees, the consignor's cut, profit and the buyer
people.csvBuyers, consignors, newsletter readers and everyone who wrote in
messages.csvMessages sent from your website
consignment.csvConsigned items, what sold, and what you've paid and still owe each consignor
events.csvEach item's history: added, moved, listed, sold
photos.csvWhich photo belongs to which item, in order, with its description
photos/Every photo at full size, in a folder for each item's reference number

If a photo couldn't be read, it's left out and a file called missing-photos.txt lists it.

Money is in your shop's currency. Dates and times are in UTC.

Bringing it back in

items.csv uses the same columns as the inventory spreadsheet, so you can import it into Lotmaster again from Import.

Sales on their own

To download just your sales for a period, go to Reports, pick the period and tap Download CSV.

Backups

You don't need to download anything to be safe. We back up every shop's data and photos every day. If something goes badly wrong, we can put your shop back as it was without touching anyone else's. Email [email protected] and say what happened and when.
