Import your eBay listings

Bring your active eBay listings into Lotmaster as items, with their photos, prices and details, or link them to items you already have.

Once eBay is connected, your active eBay listings wait in Sell → eBay imports. Tick the ones you want and tap Import. Each one becomes an item with its title, price, photos and details, already marked as listed.

Import listings

  1. Open Sell. On a phone, tap the Sell tab, then the eBay imports tile at the top. On a computer, click Sell in the sidebar: eBay imports is the column on the right, and See all opens the whole list.
  2. Tick the listings you want. A bar appears at the bottom saying how many you picked.
  3. Tap Import and the number. Lotmaster shows its progress, then how many items it imported.

To bring in everything at once, tap Import all with nothing ticked.

The setup wizard has the same list on its Import from eBay step. There you can pick All your listings or Let me choose.

What comes in from eBay

Each imported listing becomes an item with:

  • the title, and the eBay price as its asking price,
  • the copies still for sale on the listing, as the item's quantity,
  • the item specifics, put into your item type's fields where the names match,
  • the description, and the packed weight and box size if the listing has them,
  • eBay's condition, in the item's private notes,
  • up to 12 photos. They're copied into Lotmaster, so they still work after the eBay listing ends.

Lotmaster guesses the item type and category from the title. Check them after importing, and change them on the item if the guess is wrong.

Imported items don't have a bin yet. They wait in Inventory under Needs a location until you put them away.

Listings for items you already have

Lotmaster links a listing to an item you already have, without importing it again, when:

  • the listing's custom label on eBay is the item's reference number (Lotmaster uses the reference as the custom label when it lists for you), or
  • the item has that eBay item number saved in eBay item number or link on its Edit page.

To link one by hand:

  1. Tap Link beside the listing.
  2. Type the item's reference number.
  3. Tap Link.

The item is now tied to that listing, so a sale on eBay marks it sold. If you see "That item is linked to another listing", the item already belongs to a different eBay listing.

Ignore listings you don't want

Some listings will never be in Lotmaster. Tick them and tap Ignore. They move to the Ignored list at the top of the page, and stop counting on the Sell tab.

To bring one back, open Ignored, tick it and tap Un-ignore.

New eBay listings later

Listings you make on eBay itself show up in eBay imports after Lotmaster's next check of your listings. To look straight away, tap Check now at the top of the list. The line beside it says when eBay was last checked and how many listings are already linked.

When every active listing is in Lotmaster, the list says "All caught up. Every active eBay listing is in the app."

If some listings didn't import

Any that failed are listed under the progress line, by eBay item number, with the reason. The most common reasons:

  • Your plan's item limit. Imported items count toward your active items, so at the limit the rest don't import. The message says which plan gives you more room.
  • "Turn on an item type in Settings first." Every item needs a type. Turn one on in Settings → Item types, then import again.
