Shipping for orders on your website is set in Settings → Payments and shipping, under Shipping. You choose a flat rate or a charge worked out by weight, an amount over which US shipping is free, the countries you ship to, and whether buyers can collect in person.

Website checkout is on Pro and Business, and during your free trial.

Only the shop's owner can change shipping. Helpers see it read only.

These settings only apply to card sales on your website. eBay uses the shipping you set on eBay.

Set it up

  1. Open Settings → Payments and shipping. On a phone, Settings is on the More tab. On a computer, it's in the sidebar.
  2. Under How shipping is charged, pick Flat rate or Worked out by weight.
  3. Fill in the amounts for the one you picked (see below).
  4. If you want to, enter an amount in Free US shipping on orders of. Leave it empty to always charge shipping.
  5. Under Ships to, tick each country you ship to.
  6. If buyers can collect from you, turn on Local pickup and fill in Where and when.
  7. Tap Save shipping.

You have to ship to at least one country or offer local pickup. If you untick every country and leave pickup off, the app asks you to choose one.

Flat rate

Every order pays the same amount, whatever's in it. Type it in Shipping per order. 0 means free shipping.

Worked out by weight

You set your own prices: First pound, and Each pound after. There's no carrier account behind it, so use the prices you usually pay.

The weight comes from Packed weight, lb and oz in the Shipping section of the item form. For a box over a cubic foot, Lotmaster also works out a size weight (length × width × height ÷ 166, from the item's Length, in, Width, in and Height, in) and uses whichever is more. The weight is multiplied by the number of copies ordered and rounded up to whole pounds, with one pound at least.

Items with no packed weight are charged the amount in Items with no weight. The settings page tells you how many items on your website have no weight yet.

Your website can't show the exact shipping for a weight-based order before checkout. It tells buyers that shipping is worked out from the package and shown before they pay, and Stripe's payment page shows the amount.

Free shipping

Free US shipping on orders of works with either rate. When the items in a US order come to at least that amount, shipping is free. Free shipping is for US orders only.

Shipping outside the US

When you tick a country other than the United States, a box called Added to orders outside the US appears. That amount goes on top of the shipping charge for every order outside the US.

If you ship to more than one country, or offer pickup, buyers see a Delivery choice next to Buy now on the item's page. They choose before they pay, and Stripe's page then only takes an address in that country.

Local pickup

With Local pickup on, buyers can collect for free and don't give an address. What you write in Where and when (for example "At our table at the Saturday card show, or by arrangement") is shown to buyers before they pay and in their order email. Keep it under 300 characters.

On the pull list

Website orders show how they go out. In Sell → To ship, each order shows the method and what the buyer paid for shipping, with the address, or "Local pickup" with the buyer's name. A packed pickup order has a Picked up button in place of Shipped.
