Move one item, several, or a whole box

Move an item to another bin, move many items at once, or move a whole box or shelf with everything in it.

To move one item, open it and tap Move. To move several, select them in Inventory or tick them in a bin. To move a whole box or shelf with everything in it, change where the box is in its settings.

Move one item

  1. Open the item and tap Move. On a phone you can also tap the Stored in tile.
  2. Pick where it's going. You can:
    • type the bin's code in Type or scan a bin, or tap the scan button and scan its label;
    • tap one of the bins under Recently used (or Bins with room if you haven't moved anything on this device yet);
    • open All locations and pick from the full list.
  3. If you want a particular slot, type it in Slot in the bin, optional. Leave it empty for the next free slot.
  4. Tap Move to with the bin's code, such as Move to B27.

Each bin shows how much room it has left, like "room for 5" or "Full". If the move takes a bin over its size, Lotmaster tells you by how much, and you can still move it.

To take an item out of its location without putting it anywhere, tap Clear the location. It then shows as needing a bin.

An item with several copies moves with all its copies, since they share one place.

Move several items

From Inventory:

  1. Tap Select.
  2. Tap the items to move, or Select all. You can move up to 200 at a time.
  3. Tap Move in the bar.
  4. Pick where they're going and tap Move to with the bin's code.

From a bin:

  1. Open the bin on the Locations page.
  2. Tick the box beside each item. Once you've ticked one, you can tap Pick all with the number, such as Pick all 12.
  3. Tap Move with the number picked, such as Move 4.
  4. Pick the new bin and tap Move to with its code.

In a bin or box, each item goes into the next free slot.

Put away items that have no bin

Items without a location show on Home as Items without a bin under Needs your attention, and on the Locations page as items that need a bin. Tap through to see them in Inventory, then tap Select, pick the ones that go together, and tap Shelve.

Move a whole box or shelf

Moving a box, a shelf or a room moves everything inside it, and the items keep their slots.

  1. Open the box on the Locations page.
  2. Tap Edit box (or Edit shelf).
  3. Under Inside, pick where it's going now. Choose Nothing (top level) to put it at the top.
  4. Tap Save box.

This is the quickest way to take a show case to the van and back: move the case's box from your shop shelf to your mobile location, and everything in it goes too.

The item's history

Each move goes in the item's history, for example "Moved from B27-03 to B31-01".
