My eBay sale didn't show up, or shows twice

What to do when an eBay sale hasn't reached Lotmaster, landed in To review, sold twice, or an eBay change or check failed.

Most eBay sales reach Lotmaster within minutes, and each one is recorded once. If one is missing, tap Check eBay now in Settings → eBay and fees, then look in Sell → To ship and Sell → To review. The list below covers the other cases.

If a sale hasn't shown up

If it sold a few minutes ago: Lotmaster fetches a sale a few minutes after eBay tells it, and also checks on a schedule as a backup. Tap Check eBay now in Settings → eBay and fees, or Check now in Sell → eBay imports. The message says how many listings were checked and how many new sales came in.

If it's in Sell → To review instead of To ship: it sold on a listing that isn't linked to any item, so it says eBay sale we couldn’t match. Tap Pick the item, type the item's reference number and tap Mark it sold. See To review: eBay sales and website orders to check.

If it sold before you connected eBay: Lotmaster only picks up sales from the time you connected. Earlier sales aren't brought in.

If Settings → eBay and fees shows the Sales tile as Failed: the reason is written under the tiles. If it's about the connection, the shop's owner taps Reconnect on that page.

If the page asks you to reconnect, or says the connection has expired: sales stop arriving until the owner taps Reconnect and approves on eBay. See Connect your eBay account.

If Instant sale alerts says Not on yet: sales still arrive through Lotmaster's regular checks, only more slowly. Lotmaster tries to turn the alerts on again every day. Use Check eBay now when you need a sale straight away.

If a sale shows twice, or something sold twice

If you think the same eBay sale is in Lotmaster twice: Lotmaster records each eBay sale once, however many times it checks it. Two rows are two sales. Open the item: each sale is listed there with its date and price. A buyer who took 2 copies is one sale of 2, not two sales.

If To review says eBay sale of something already sold: it sold on eBay, but the item had already sold somewhere else, or didn't have that many copies left. Lotmaster didn't record it a second time. Check with the buyer on eBay, then tap Dealt with, done.

If To review says Do this first: the item sold somewhere else but its eBay listing is still up. Tap End eBay listing before someone buys it there too.

If ending a listing says "It also sold on eBay": someone bought it on eBay before the listing came down. Check eBay: one of the two buyers needs a refund.

If To review says eBay order cancelled: the buyer's order was cancelled after Lotmaster recorded the sale. Tap Put back in stock to undo the sale, or Keep as sold.

To stop items selling twice, leave End the eBay listing too ticked when you record a sale somewhere else. Lotmaster also never lets two sales take more copies than you have. A sale you record in the app is refused, and an eBay sale that doesn't fit goes to To review.

If an eBay change failed

If an item says eBay didn’t take the last change: eBay refused a new price or other change. Its reason is shown. Tap Try again for a price, Review and try again for anything else, or Dismiss if you've dealt with it on eBay. All of these are listed on eBay changes that failed, at the bottom of Sell → eBay imports on a phone, or beside the Sell heading on a computer. See Update a live eBay listing.

If it says eBay is busy for the rest of the day

If you see "eBay is busy for the rest of the day. Try again tomorrow, or do this on eBay.": eBay limits how many requests apps can make each day, and Lotmaster has reached its share for today. Listing, importing, changing prices and Check eBay now wait until tomorrow; you can do them on eBay meanwhile.

Near the limit, Lotmaster's scheduled checks pause first. A sale eBay has told Lotmaster about is still fetched, and ending the listing of an item that sold elsewhere is never stopped.

Still stuck
